PHOENIX Pharma Officially Opened Its Renovated Regional Center in Plovdiv

PHOENIX Pharma officially opened its renovated regional center in Plovdiv with a brief ceremony on September 30. The event was attended by customers, partners, and representatives of the academic community.

The investment in the modernization project for the Plovdiv regional center totaled 1.5 million euros. As a result of the modernization, the areas for goods receipt, shipping, and specialized storage facilities have been expanded. New conventional racking, dynamic roller racking, an automated conveyor system for warehousing and shipping, and new material-handling equipment were purchased.

Special emphasis was placed on renovating the office area, transforming the Plovdiv Regional Center into a venue for important meetings at the regional and international levels.

The regional center’s photovoltaic system has also been modernized and expanded, with its capacity increased from 30 to 159.36 kWp, resulting in annual savings of 90 metric tons of carbon emissions.

The Plovdiv Regional Center supplies pharmaceutical products to nearly 1,000 pharmacies and over 40 hospitals in Plovdiv and the surrounding region. A total of 180 people work at the regional center, and nearly 90 are employed in Operations and Logistics. The office space at the Plovdiv Regional Center is also used by employees of the PHOENIX Group’s IT hub in Bulgaria.

“Our investment in the Plovdiv Regional Center is proof of the strategic importance of Plovdiv and the region to us. We have put a great deal of care and thought into the future of this project, and we hope to be even more attuned to the needs of our customers,” said Nikolay Kolev, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PHOENIX Pharma.
